With the amalgamation of the Southern Islands to form this chemical
industry centre, a roadlink connecting this island to mainland Singapore
has been constructed for Ministry of Trade and Industry supervised by the
Public Works Department.
Joint-venture contractor, Hyundai-Koon is responsible for the S$238
million project, to form a 2km long dual carriageway roadlink which is
scheduled for completion by mid 1999. Similar to Pasir Panjang Port
Expansion contract, caissons have been adopted in the construction method.
Over 63,000 metre squares of concrete has been treated with Dry-Treat BHN
IBTEO silane. |
