Built right next to the new incinerator at Tuas, this wharf serves as the gateway for refuse loads bound for the Pulau Semakau Offshore Landfill dumping ground. Designed by Specs Consultants for the Ministry of Environment and undertaken by a Penta-Koon joint-venture effort, this wharf was completed in late 1998 is now fully operational.

 

An approximate area of 115,000 square metres of concrete of the wharf structure, notably the piles, pilecaps, soffit etc. were impregnated with Dry-Treat BHN IBTEO silane against the hostile marine conditions.
